A Weird Thought
A really strange thought is going through my head of staying home with the kids. I'm not sure where it is coming from, so I'll have to further explore it with prayer. That's the only thing I know to do. I don't think the State's recent budget cuts are hitting higher education, so I'm not any more worried about my job than I have been in the past few months. Jule is doing better, but it is still much easier to be at work than to be home. Hmmm....If that is where God is leading, I know He'll make it crystal clear...He always does!

Nice Weekend
We had a really nice weekend. Saturday morning, Noly and Daddy went to see Playhouse Disney Live on Stage. Kevin said Noly had a wonderful time and was so excited. She refused to sing the "Hot Dog" song because she knew that meant they were leaving...silly girl. I kept Jule, and we went to the mall. I had not taken him shopping since he was around 8 weeks old because he cried so much. To my delight, he was happy the whole time and even fell asleep in the stroller. I found a few clothes for Noly on sale and got Jule some 18 month clothes at Once Upon A Child. He grows so fast that I dare not shop for brand new clothes for him...we would go broke!
Saturday night, I got all the way to church only to find out it was cancelled due to the power being out. I decided to use the time to drive over to Kohl's to return Jule's CHRISTMAS clothes. It's about 35-40 minutes from our house, so I haven't had time to go before Saturday. I found him two sleepers and an outfit for this summer after exchanging the 6-9 month sleepers. When I got home, we spent time with the kids. Noly was hilarious, and Jule was completely in love with watching her. They both made us laugh, and we totally enjoyed watching the way they interacted with each other. I wonder what Noly will do when Jule is mobile. She will not like him going after "her" toys!
Yesterday, we finally had time to get the old computer and computer desk out of the house. I was able to set up the laptop in between the piano and keyboard so that I can record from either. On the other side of the room, I set up a play area for the kids complete with pictures Noly made at preschool. Since the floor is so hard, I put down the foam letter puzzle pieces so that Jule can be safe and comfy. It will be nice to be able to play the piano with Jule in view and entertained. Noly is old enough to entertain herself while I play. While I was cleaning up, I secretly threw away some of the toys that make too much of a mess or that had seen better days. It was really an amazing weekend simply because I got time at home with my family and because I got caught up on some much-needed rest AND nobody was sick!
